What is Chase UK?

Chase UK is the British arm of JPMorgan Chase, one of the world's largest banks. It launched in the UK in 2021 and has grown to over 2 million customers. The account is fee-free, includes 1% cashback on all debit card spending for the first year, and has a linked easy-access savings account paying competitive interest.

How to claim the £20 Chase bonus — step by step

  1. 1
Make sure you have a TopCashback account

You must be logged into TopCashback before clicking through to Chase. If you don't have one, sign up here first (free, and earns you an extra £10 bonus).

  2. 2
Click through to Chase via our link above

This takes you to the Chase offer page on TopCashback. Click "Get Cashback Now" to be redirected to Chase with tracking active.

  3. 3
Download the Chase app and open your account

Enter your personal details and verify your identity with photo ID. Chase runs a soft credit check — this won't affect your credit score.

  4. 4
Spend £20+ on your Chase card within 30 days

This can be any spending — groceries, petrol, online shopping. The £20 doesn't have to be in one transaction. It just needs to total £20 within your first 30 days.

  5. 5
    Bonus paid within 7–14 days

The £20 cashback appears in your TopCashback account first, then can be withdrawn to your bank. The Chase 1% cashback on spending is paid separately and directly into your Chase account.

The 1% cashback — how does it work?

For your first 12 months as a Chase customer, you earn 1% cashback on all debit card spending (capped at £15/month). This is automatic and paid monthly into your Chase account. On £500/month spending that's £5 back every month — £60 over the year, on top of your sign-up bonus.

Does Chase do a credit check?

Chase performs a soft credit search when you apply, which is used to verify your identity. This is not visible to lenders and does not impact your credit score. If you later apply for a Chase savings account, a separate soft search may be performed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stack this with the Zopa, Monzo and Starling offers?
Yes — all four are separate banks and can be opened independently. Doing all four earns you £35 in bonuses (£10 + £5 + £5 + £20 minus the £20 spend needed for Chase, which you'd spend anyway).
Do I need to switch my main bank account to Chase?
No. Chase works as a secondary account. You don't need to move your salary or any direct debits.
What if I don't spend £20 in 30 days?
You won't qualify for the bonus. However, £20 of spending is easy to reach — use it for your weekly food shop or any regular purchases you'd make anyway.
Is Chase safe?
Yes. Chase UK is regulated by the FCA and PRA. Deposits are FSCS protected up to £85,000.
